I hope the greek used their week off to reinforce the floors. The crowd was jumping so hard I could feel it through the floor. Much respect to everyone who played. The place was going off from start to finish. Girdlock smashed the place thurough of course.

Much repsect to Justin, Chris Mecca, and Chris Coda for making it happen. Portland drum and bass is on the fucking map to stay.

what a wicked night. everyone was there. everyone stayed till the end. you are all rockstars!

james & george- perfect opening. that was a great set.
we all know gridlok had a great night, and you could tell he was really feelin it.

Eric- picture perfect set... nice rewind on the spirit! really had the headz going.
Nice sound! Kenny and HAS come correct as always.

Funny drama near the end, but it ended up alright. Did anyone else see the usual bartender there rocking out? He wasent working but seemed to come and party just for the jungle. was a cool sight.

too sleepy and faded now...
what a week this is!

Once again newcastle saves the day by sparing me the annoying hangover! Seriously, the brits have done something magical to the brew...

Gridlok threw down, nice to hear a few oldies thrown in for good measure...and tons of old friends came, it was nice to see them all. I was feeling a bit torn after the saturday night drama disaster, but this was just what I needed to get back up on my feet and keep the good spirits going.

speaking of which,

the greek definitely needs to reinforce the floor for sure...shit was straight up doing a tsunami at one point...good job fellas....keep it up!

uuuuuuuummmm guin.gif one to many.

Now that I'm thinking back on what I can remember of last night.

I have to say solid from start to finish.

It seemed like the dance floor was packed from start to finish.

George, James and Eric murder that shit, all you guys are hella fun to watch play out.

Gridlock was good, but I was hoping to hear some newer stuff.

Big ups to the Chris's for one hell of a night.

and man I got to watch the alcohol intake.

I don't think I could have asked for a better way to be sired into the PDX scene.
Thanks for the mad tunage last night. The Original Junglesound remix is massive!! I hadn't heard that particular redo until last night. HOOJ!!

I waited around for-fucking-ever... and my ride finally came at 5:30 AM. That's some bullshit, but at least I did get a ride.

Oh yeah... and stuffing everyone in the van- CLASSIC. Hope you didn't get pulled over. And if you did get pulled over... I hope you got a fucking picture of the cop's face when he saw everyone crammed in there. LOL

I met a bunch of really cool people last night. Great vibes all around. Definitely loking forward to spending time here, and getting to know all you.
This town is good stuff.

You cannot FUK with the crowd vibe here in PDX when they get rowdy.

People were gettin down! slayer.gif

The amount of satisfaction I felt afterwards was fucking awesome due strictly to the crowd. Thanks guys/gals. twothumbs.gif

Then like the night couldn't get any more sick Gridlok comes up afterwards and says "Man you're wicked."

That does it,..I retire,...cause it's all downhill from here. badteeth.gif

What a night!! bgrin.gif

Huge thanks to Mecca of course, who was really the driving force in this event. You sir are a gentleman and a scholar. pimp.gif

H.A.S. -- wicked sound! Very nice job! Kenny, you should junglize that minivan. slayer.gif

Shylok, George & Sad Mans Burd -- what the fucking hell, could you guys do any better?? bgrin.gif The opening set from Shy & Geo was wiiiicked, straight funky nasty beats. Top notch track selection. Eric your set was off the chaaaaaain! Way to keep the crowd moving until close! (I think that's the most people I've ever seen at closing at the Greek.)

Gridlok took the place, stomped on it, kicked it around for a bit, and ripped it to facking shreds! The crowd was insane. Big ups to Sad Mans and Jet (I think that was your name) for taking to the Mic and kicking it up a couple more notches. Too fucking good!! badgerslayer.gif badgerslayer.gif badgerslayer.gif

Big thanks to Ryan Organ, Mrs. Mecca & her friend for helping out with door duty. I <3 you guys.

To Dan, who saved the day by coming through with the CDJ! I still owe you some drinks. badteeth.gif Thanks to Jesse, Android and Ronin who also helped us chase down some more CDJs just in case. Very much appreciated!!!!

And of course thanks to everyone who came out and danced their asses off. You are who we put this night together for, and I hope that everyone who came had a good time!!

See you all next week for BASIC OPS! slay2.gif

Thank you everyone for coming out. I had a wicked good time once I got some drinks in me badteeth.gif Peace to all the DJ's. James, George and Eric wrecked it proper. Thanks again!!!! You guys RAWK!!! slayer.gif

Yeah, ummm, Kenny. That sound system fucking rules. A+ on point.

So in my talking to Gridlok he tells me that this is the busiest Wed night in the States. "The East Coast is dead. The West Coast has the vibe and producers."........ "Seattle's got Tues, LA has Thurs, I can't believe how many people are here on a Wed night." He said he was having so much fun that he didn't want to stop. He also sadi that he can't wait to come back. He'd like to come back on weekend. We'll see.

Overall it was a really good night. Glad to see that many people til the end.

Oh no matter when it's played or who plays it, "Duppy Man" is the shit.

Chris, can't wait to do this again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you to the girls working the door. They were fiesty, but had to be. cool.gif

BADUNK A DUNK!

IN ORDER:
James - Loving that track selection you brang out for us last night. That Kubiks, D Kay and Lee, and of course that new Craggz thumper tore it.

George - Always intrigued with the accapellas and cuts over them beats, everytime I hear you play out, I gotta spend the following day in the basement practicing.

Gridlok - Brought back alot of the old school ed rush, hive, keaton ish that united the crowds, and some of the dubs, especially the last track that scattered the beat all over was on point.

Eric - it was an eye opener for me. That set was what I have been awaiting out of you. Some of those mixes I heard for the first time, and SICKNESS! You stole it, took it down the block, stashed it and threw it all over the town.

Cody and Joel - big ups on the 25 and 23---happy birthday to the twos of ya.

Leslie - our new roommate - broke her into the drum n bass and she freaked all over that ish.

I'm going to sleep for 3 days. peace.

Ah, respek! What a great nite. Goerge, James, Eric, you boys all rocked, fo sho. And Eric & Jett on the mic was beautiful. All I can really say is Gridlock fucking rules. I swear I play half the tunes he busted out with! Sooooo nice to be able to dance. I worked up a nice good sweat last night, courtesy of all the members of the Portland Players Club. Highlites of the nite, Gridlock busting out the old skool Ed Rush & Optical (I think he played like 3 of thier tracks! HA! I told you all they aren't dead! tongue.gif ) and watching Damon dance the cabbage patch. Dude, you have mad dancefloor skillz! laugh.gif Seriously, most awsome night everyone. Everywhere I looked I saw people laughing, smiling, and DANCING! Much thanks to everyone who made this night happen. Pats on the back all around. See ya'll tonite!

dammn!! This was one heLL of a GooD time. Gotta give props to pdxdnb.com and Chris for doin this show and letting me be a part of it. Gridlock was sick!!! All the dj's were sick!!! This whole damn thang was just sick!!!

Also...thanks to ryan organ for your help with that little issue at the end.

And...it was kinda funny loading the equip. in the van at the end of the night. It was some serious tetris goin on and yes, everyone made it home safe. For those who don't know... I had to stick two extra monitors and 5 kids in a safari minivan that had NO room at all... it was crazy the places we found to put these people. Allmost had to start strapping them to the RooF. fun times twothumbs.gif

Thanks PDX for LuVin and SupPorTin DruM and BaSS!!
