DnBA - Bailey & Cyantific studio mixes

Last month both Bailey and Cyantific took time out to do studio mixes for Drum & Bass Arena. They also took time out to answer a slew of interview questions. Bailey hints at a new label coming from Goldie called Rufige and Cyantific highlights Jonny L's "Sawtooth" as essential listening for any drum & bass head.

Soulr.co.uk now live

It's been a long time in the making, but Soul:r have finally launched their website. For those not famliar, Soul:r is Marcus Intalex's label, and features a wide stable of artists such as MIST (Marcus Intalex & ST Files), Calibre, Klute, DJ Marky, XRS, Martyn, and D Kay to only name a few.

Soul:r has two sister labels, Revolve:r and Signature. Revolve:r typically hosts more 'edgy' material than Soul:r, which focuses on more soulful material, but over the years the lines have sometimes been blurry. Recent releases by artists such as Martyn and Marcus Intalex on Revolve:r have heard a move towards a more techno-influenced sound, and material from D-Bridge and Klute on Soul:r has been more melodically textured and deep. Signature is slightly sheltered from the other two, as it is Calibre's label, which so far has been an outlet for his personal works. Signature is about to drop it's eighth release the "Late Night Squeeze EP", after a track of the same name by ST Files and Calibre.

Other forthcoming releases are the hotly awaited Mist:i:cal LP, a joint venture between Marcus, ST Files and Calibre, coming this April; the DAT:Music project mix CD; a 12" from the prolific Break titled "Mr. Crystal"; and even more yet to be announced.
