Unless you've been living under a rock, you are aware of Hurricane Katrina and the destruction and flooding left in it's wake. We encourage you to take a moment and think about donating money to the Red Cross and the Humane Society of the United States for Hurricane relief. People need food, clothing and shelter, and so do the animals and pets displaced or left behind (except animals don't wear clothes). These two organizations are only our choice though, if you have a charity that you prefer then by all means. But take a moment this holiday weekend to consider the many lives affected by Katrina and consider donating. Not everyone can give a lot, but give what you can.
As reported on Music Thing, Propellerheads have created a special place on the web for their flagship application Rebirth (precursor to Reason) dubbed the Rebirth Museum. As part of the commemoration, they are now giving Rebirth away for free. For those who aren't familiar with Rebirth, it is the first commercially available software synthesizer for the legendary Roland TB-303 bass line synth, and the TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines. The software is available for free download after you register (for free) on their site.
