This story has been all over the web the past couple of days. On the 20th, promoters in Utah planned to throw an event, "Versus II", on private lands approximately 100 miles from SLC. Things did not go as planned however, and the event was raided by ~90 Police officers in miliary fatigues and riot gear. Accounts from the side of event-goers and performers (incl. Knick from Evol Intent & DJ Syze) recall gross police brutality, tear gas, assault rifles and dogs. Accounts from law enforcement and local Utah media instead recount an event of drugs and alcohol which was "rightfully" shut down by authorities. The promoters have reportedly filed 6 lawsuits and have contacted the American Civil Liberties Union for further legal assistance.
